Student Pick-up Information
Central Elementary – Updated Pick-Up Plan
Young 5s - Kindergarten - 1st Grade
As we continue to adjust and improve our pick up process we ask that you please read the following notice:
Beginning Monday, August 25th, we are making a change to our afternoon parent pick-up routine.
- Y5, Kindergarten, and 1st grade car pick-up will now take place in the bus loop.
- Buses will pick up students in the front of the building.
- No changes will be made to 2nd-5th grade pick up.
This adjustment will:
- Keep traffic on school property (instead of blocking neighborhood driveways).
- Provide a safe area for parents to pull forward, park briefly, and buckle their child after staff have helped them into the car.
How it will work:
- Enter the bus loop from the east side, down Heath Ave.
- Follow the signs and cones.
- Cars will be released five at a time to move forward to pick up their student(s).
Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to make pick-up smoother and safer for everyone!
Important reminders:
- Do NOT block driveways while waiting.
- Please follow all traffic signs and directions from staff.
- Be patient—this system is designed to keep everyone safe while speeding up pick-up.
- If you’re picking up a 2nd–5th grader ONLY, please park in the parent parking lot and walk up to get your child.
